Departing Durban on Mondays.
Valid passports are required as the tour passes through Swaziland.
Complimentary Pick-up from City hotels, others on request.

On this tour between Durban and Johannesburg, we explore the three
'kingdoms': The Zulu Kingdom's Culture and wildlife, the Kingdom of
Swaziland, and the wildlife kingdom of the Kruger National Park.
Day 1 Monday The first portion of this tour takes us north into
Zululand, where we reach a village in time for a demonstration of the
powerful Zulu culture. We remain at the village for lunch and there is an
opportunity to experience some of the local traditional dishes. Then we
travel onwards to our overnight stop, a game lodge in the Hluhluwe area,
where some of the parks are well known for the role in the conservation of
the Rhinoceros. There is an afternoon game drive, followed by dinner at the
lodge.
Day 2 Tuesday This morning there is an optional (for own
account) early morning game drive before breakfast. Then we continue north,
entering the independent Kingdom of Swaziland, a member of the British
Commonwealth. Swaziland is known for its scenery, superb crafts and colourful
indigenous culture. We visit a Swazi candle factory, which manufactures a
wide range of crafted candles for export. Dinner and overnight is in one of
Swaziland’s classic hotels. (lunch not included)
Day 3 Wednesday After breakfast we visit the Ngwenya glass
factory before reaching the border post to re-enter South Africa. In the
afternoon we reach our lodge on the outskirts of Kruger National Park, the
heart of South Africa’s conservation and game viewing areas. The afternoon
can be spent relaxing at the pool, or you may wish to join an optional (for
own account) open vehicle game drive before dinner. (lunch not included)
Day 4 Thursday This morning there is very early coffee or tea
before departing on an open vehicle game drive into the Kruger National Park.
During the drive we stop for a packed breakfast. The expert game rangers not
only point out the wide variety of bird and animal life, but also explain the
challenges of managing one of the world’s foremost conservation areas. The
afternoon is spent relaxing at the lodge, which has a lovely viewing deck, or
there is an optional (for own account) late afternoon open vehicle game drive
before dinner. (lunch not included)
Day 5 Friday After breakfast we depart the lodge and continue
our journey, travelling through the Kruger National Park for part of the day
before reaching the scenic heart of Mpumalanga province. Dinner and overnight
are in one of the area’s leading hotels. (lunch not included)
Day 6 Saturday After breakfast we begin the final leg of the
tour, reaching what is known as the ‘Panorama Route’ after the early morning
mists have cleared. This area contains some of South Africa’s most
spectacular scenery, such as Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and
God’s Window. In the afternoon our journey continues, to end in Johannesburg
late in the afternoon. (lunch not included)
